Francis Rugwiti

Francis Rũgwĩti was born Francis Njuhiga in 1936. His songs delivered moral commentary through narrative storytelling and this sometimes was shun by the governement of the time.

Active during the cassete era, his work reflects the storytelling tradition that shaped modern Mugithi music.
